Dr Anil Arora and LVCCC’s Orthoptists attended the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS) annual scientific conference, located in the beautiful setting of Port Douglas, in July. AUSCRS celebrated their 18th anniversary with the largest attendance to date.
Ophthalmologists and speakers from many countries including New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Belgium and USA presented the latest research and technological advances in cataract, corneal and laser refractive surgery. As always, AUSCRS provided the opportunity for lively discussion and debate regarding current and future developments in the refractive world.
Dr Anil Arora presented a paper showcasing the phenomenal results he has achieved using the Zeiss trifocal intraocular lens, enabling patients spectacle independence for near, intermediate and far distance. The paper was well received and impressed the delegates attending the conference.
