Sculpture on the Greens 2015

Laser Vision Clinic Central Coast is proud to be a major sponsor of ‘Sculpture on the Greens’ for our second year. The exhibition runs from 11th April until 31st May 2015.  This major cultural event will be opening from 5.00pm, 10th April 2015 with a Gala event to showcase the 70 new works that will be on display in the beautiful grounds of Kooindah Waters Golf and Spa Resort, near Wyong.

The exhibition is proudly supporting many sculptors from all over Australia, and abroad. Sculpture on the Greens is quickly gaining a reputation for its high calibre and egalitarian vision, pointing towards an interesting, contemporary exhibition, with a diverse and eclectic range of sculptures.

The event is not for profit, and run by a passionate team of local Sculptors with a vision to bring high quality sculpture to the Central Coast, enriching and celebrating the diversity in our community.  For more information visit www.sculptureonthegreens.net.au

Laser Vision Clinic were also pleased to be able to sponsor 5 artists individual works:

Bev Chalmers’ sculpture ‘The Tree of …’ is a beautiful piece representing the baobab’s struggle to survive, sustain life, contribute and grow parallels to that of society.

Doug Wade’s wire sculpture ‘Above and Below’ consists of a flying fish and a deep-sea angler fish, representing above and below the surface. The sculpture attempts to capture the movement and freedom of the flying fish breaking free from the water’s surface.

Emilia Krumm’s ‘Forest Cathedral’ – the solidity of the structure and the fragility of the leaves create a canopy of colour that transports the viewer to a higher place. The dappled light is reminiscent of the light through the trees in a forest. The intention is to emulate nature and to remind the viewer that they are in a place of worship.
