We are pleased to announce an extended treatment range for our myopic patients undergoing the SMILE® femtosecond keyhole laser technique. Until now we have been able to treat patients from -3.00 to -10.00 dioptres (spherical equivalent) with SMILE®. The new range extends treatment to include high myopia up to -10.00 dioptres with an additional -5.00 cylinder (totalling -12.5 spherical equivalent).
This exciting development in Zeiss femtosecond laser technology enables the possibility of laser vision correction for highly myopic patients who were previously excluded from laser refractive surgery.
