VISION AUSTRALIA’s appreciation for Dr Arora’s support

Dr Anil Arora, Medical Director, Laser Vision Clinic Central Coast,  chose to use his 50th birthday party as a time to celebrate but also as an opportunity to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. He has been supporting Vision Australia for a few years now. Below is the article published on Vision Australia’s website. Alternatively you can read the article here

“Ophthalmologist donates generously as part of his 50th birthday”

Vision Australia is really impressed and heartened by Dr Anil Arora’s amazing generosity and support.  People like you touch our hearts deeply and we are proud to be able to assist people who are blind or have low vision.

Anil said “While there are many charities and organisations who do a wonderful job, the one that I am in closest contact with on a regular basis is Vision Australia. They do a fantastic job of helping those who are blind or visually impaired and I have been amazed over the years at the dedication, passion and commitment that they show to help those who need support because of poor vision. They are truly worth supporting so that they can continue the great work that they do.”

I hope this donation will help Vision Australia to continue to provide essential services to those with visual impairment. It is a very worthy cause.

Dr Arora raised over $3000 from the generous donations of his friends. However to top this Anil’s goal was to raise $5000 so when the Central Coast Manager went to receive the cheque he then pulled out his wallet and wrote a personal cheque to make up the difference. Anil said that it is always hard to tell people there is nothing more he can do for their vision. He is comforted by the fact he can refer them to an organisation like Vision Australia to assist them in strategies to cope with their vision loss and give them hope that they can learn to become independent again.
